Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

CollegeSpring envisions a world in which social justice is realized and sustained. We actively take every opportunity to combat institutionalized oppression, and are committed as an organization to finding ways to better:

  • Empower our students through the use of culturally responsive practices
  • Lead by example by ensuring that CollegeSpring instructors, mentors, staff, and board members effectively represent the students we serve
  • Uphold the unique values of every dimension of diversity

At the center of much of this work and learning is our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion steering committee, which strives to cultivate, celebrate and promote diversity and inclusion practices that will ultimately impact the lives of the students we serve. The committee assists in setting a clear vision for diversity practices for our staff and stakeholders as we continue to develop our identity and programs, and encourages the inclusion of backgrounds, ideas, and beliefs of all CollegeSpring constituents by creating a space that will foster dialogue and build a structure of learning for organizational growth.
