Program Model

CollegeSpring provides comprehensive programs that help students succeed on the SAT and in college admissions. Our programs are offered either as summer intensives for rising seniors or are integrated into the school day for current juniors. Our 80-hour programs include:

SAT Test Preparation

CollegeSpring offers the only SAT test preparation program specifically designed to help low-income and first-generation college-bound students achieve scores that reflect their true abilities. We focus on building core academic knowledge so that students have a strong foundation from which to demonstrate the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that the SAT is designed to assess. College-Readiness Instruction

Doing well on the SAT is only the first step in applying to college. We also help students understand their college options and decide where to apply. We provide in-depth information and support to help them navigate financial aid, personal statements, applications, and more. Everything we do with our students is carefully crafted to help provide them with a crucial foundation of basic skills that will continue to serve them well once they are enrolled at a four-year institution, and after graduation.

Four Diagnostic SAT Tests

Students in our programs take four full-length, proctored SAT tests. In addition to helping students overcome test anxiety, these tests provide detailed assessment data that our teachers and mentors use to help students identify and address challenge areas.

Professional Instruction

CollegeSpring hires only credentialed teachers who have experience working with our demographic. During the school year, CollegeSpring trains experienced teachers at our partner sites who already know how to connect with the students they serve. Learn more about our teachers…

Mentoring and Tutoring

Our students also work in small groups of 3-5 with undergraduate mentors who have “been there.” Our undergraduate mentors serve as near-peer role models, reflecting the aspirations, achievements and paths to college that we envision for our students. By building relationships with high-achievng undergraduates, our students gain confidence in their own potential. Learn more about our mentors…
