CollegeSpring is seeking energetic, high-achieving undergraduates for part-time, paid mentoring positions beginning in January. Mentors work at a variety of sites in Los Angeles and the Bay Area, providing high school Juniors with the SAT test preparation, college counseling, and near-peer role models they need to succeed in the college admissions process.
As a CollegeSpring Mentor, you will partner with high-school Juniors–most of whom are from low-income families, and many of whom will be the first in their families to go to college–as they approach one of the most crucial turning-points in their lives: the college admissions process. Each CollegeSpring mentor tutors 3 to 5 students in a small-group setting, coaching students on the academic concepts tested on the SAT and helping them through the college application process. As a CollegeSpring Mentor you will be a strong role model for students, providing a source of first-hand knowledge about college and the admissions process, and challenging students to envision new possibilities for their futures.
We hope that you will consider joining us in making college accessible for all students, regardless of background.
