Fred Crawford of AlixPartners Joins CollegeSpring’s National Board
CollegeSpring is excited to announce Fred Crawford as the newest member of its National Board of Directors. Fred brings deep expertise in organizational strategy, brand management, and operations that will help CollegeSpring as it expands to new geographies, including his home state of Michigan.
When asked about his decision to join the Board, Fred said, “Education opens so many doors in life, and the proven approach offered by CollegeSpring affords young people with an opportunity to realize that dream, providing a pathway to success and leadership. I am proud to join the team, and look forward to driving the mission of CollegeSpring forward.”
Fred was CEO of AlixPartners from 2008-2015 and is now Senior Vice Chair and member of the Board of Directors. He is an internationally recognized strategist and operations restructuring specialist who has been involved in many of AlixPartners’ most high-profile situations. He is the architect, board sponsor, and senior mentor of AlixPartners’ global leadership program.
Prior to joining the firm, he held senior positions at other major consulting firms and worked in operations and brand management in industry. Prior to consulting, he was in the areas of supply chain and brand management in roles of increasing responsibility.
Fred has an MBA from Indiana University. He is coauthor of The Myth of Excellence, a BusinessWeek and New York Times best seller that details his research on consumer motivation and corporate strategic response.
