A New Year’s Message from Dr. Yoon Choi, CollegeSpring CEO

Happy New Year!

As you may know, I have been on a short leave, immersed in one of my most challenging and rewarding jobs to date—parenting. Every day, I witness potential and promise up close and am reminded of CollegeSpring’s commitment to children across the country. All students–not just a select few–must be able to unlock possibilities through their education.

I am grateful to work with a team of people who share the same commitment. I’ve returned to a CollegeSpring that is charging ahead on the Strategic Plan we approved this past summer. Here’s a short list of what we have accomplished so far:

Building

A jump from one SAT program, we will soon have four fully digital programs housed on a sophisticated learning management system (LMS), including Early SAT, Digital SAT, ACT, and TSIA2 (Texas Success Initiative Assessment). These allow us to harness the power of technology in the classroom, intervene with students in earlier grades, and provide teachers with real-time data to deepen our impact on more students.

Growing Reach and Impact

We partner with 60 schools across nine states and will serve 60,000 additional students by 2025. Our focus is on states that have adopted the SAT, ACT, or TSIA2 as their high school accountability assessment and partners who recognize the importance of doing well on these exams.

We provide support for students who have historically been denied access to high-quality preparation during a time when it’s needed most. We are a clarion voice emphasizing how, when students are prepared these exams give them a competitive edge in the post-secondary game.
