Our Impact

College Matriculation and Persistence

An academic study found that CollegeSpring students are more likely to:

  • Be admitted to college, thanks to higher SAT scores
  • Enroll in college, thanks to personal support
  • Attend colleges that are a good academic match, becoming more likely to persist through graduation

SAT Performance

After completing our program, students improve their SAT scores by an average of 110 points and gain the skills they need to successfully approach the college application and financial aid processes.

Historically, 65% of our students improve their SAT scores by over 70 points. More than 39% of our students improve their scores by over 130 points.

College Readiness

Students often enter our program with SAT and ACT scores far below the national average. In Summer 2014, for example, only 16% scored above a 500 on the SAT writing test. By the time those students left our program, 30% scored above 500 in writing, 30% scored above 500 in math, and 21% scored above 500 in reading.

These improvements demonstrate that low-income students are capable of achieving scores that are on-par with their peers–increasing their eligibility for admission to four-year colleges and universities. It also demonstrates that through CollegeSpring’s programs, students can make significant gains in a short period of time.

Our Constant Drive to Improve

CollegeSpring is in the business of making potential possible. We are deeply committed to providing high-quality programs that help students succeed on the SAT, ACT, and beyond. Our goal is for our students to improve their test scores, to feel empowered to apply to and enroll in four-year colleges and universities, and to persist in college and graduate.

This commitment to program quality has been recently recognized by the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, who are providing a three year grant of almost $1M which will help us greatly deepen our ability to measure and increase our impact. Learn more about the efforts this grant will fund.
