CollegeSpring’s New President!

CollegeSpring celebrates this season of gratitude with the exciting news that after an extensive nationwide search, Dr. Paula Gama Garcia will join our team as President of the organization. As President, Paula will help lead our expansion and impact, building strong relationships and support with donors, partners, and the broader education community. Based in the Rio Grande Valley, her depth of experience in education comes to us at a critical inflection point. Most recently, Paula led as Senior VP of Field Operations at Teach for America (TFA) where she managed 23 regional offices and $60 million+ in revenue. Prior to TFA, she was Project Manager for Educate Texas and a founding School Principal for IDEA Public Schools. Paula’s resume speaks for itself, but it’s her authentic character and passion for serving the most vulnerable students that truly propels our mission forward. 

Paula shares, “I’m eager to join CollegeSpring and work to embed these critical programs inside the education system, ensuring that our most marginalized students have access to the holistic test prep that allows them to reach their full potential and ambitions. As a mother, I focus on ensuring that my son has every advantage possible to be competitive in our world. As a leader of CollegeSpring, I commit this same importance to the many students in our country who don’t have access to opportunities that can change the trajectory of their lives for the better.”
